Continue shoppingTo assist our customers in navigating the solar landscape, Andersen EV has partnered with Heatable, a leading specialist in digital-first solar installations.
While you are free to choose any MCS-certified installer, we have identified Heatable - an officially accredited Which? Trusted Trader - as a partner that mirrors our commitment to a premium, frictionless customer journey.
The integration of solar panels provides more than just environmental benefits; it offers a level of energy autonomy that traditional grid charging cannot match.
Energy Autonomy
By generating your own electricity, you insulate yourself from the volatility of global energy markets. Solar allows you to lock in a fixed, zero-cost source of fuel for your vehicle for decades to come.
Architectural Harmony
Sustainable technology no longer requires aesthetic compromise. Premium solar solutions now offer a variety of designs and low-profile mounting systems that complement the architectural integrity of high-end properties and the bespoke finish of an Andersen charger.
Optimised Efficiency
Modern solar arrays are designed to perform in the varied light conditions of the UK. High-efficiency modules can capture diffused light, ensuring that your Andersen unit has a consistent stream of renewable energy to draw from.

The Heatable solar journey is a streamlined, tech-driven process designed for both speed and precision. It begins with a home assessment where basic property details and occupancy information are used to calculate a precise bill impact via MCS data. This is followed by a digital roof mapping stage, allowing users to draw around their chosen roof space so the technology can calculate the optimal number of panels and their specific energy generation potential. Once the initial quote and savings are reviewed, a Heatable specialist completes a bespoke, full-system design tailored to the property. Finally, after the design is finalised, the installation is typically booked and fitted within 4 to 6 weeks.
The cost will vary project to project. Let’s take a 4-bedroom house as an example, a solar installation usually costs between £8,000 and £11,000 for panels. To get an accurate quotation, we would recommend completing Heatable’s online solar journey or booking a consultation with one of their experts.
No, in most cases you do not require planning permission for a solar panel installation as they fall under permitted development laws. If you live in a listed building, or conservation area, you'll need approval from your council.
No, that's a myth. Solar panels will work, even in low-light conditions. With Heatable's AC system, your panels have a bigger operating widow where they can generate energy (they start up earlier, and shut down later). Standard, DC systems do tend to struggle in low-light, as the inverters require more energy to even get started.
