Green Electrical & Welsummer House
We caught up with one of our Affiliates, Green Electrical for the installation of an Andersen A2 at Welsummer House, owned by their customer, Liam.

We asked Green Electrical;
"Can you tell us a little bit about the history of Green Electrical and your EV Charge Store in St Albans?"
Green Electrical has been in business since 2008 running as an electrical contracting company. In 2019, we became OLEV approved and specialised in EV charger installations. The demand for this service grew and grew and gave us the idea to open UK’s first EV Charger store where customers can come and view chargers as well as meeting the team. We opened The EV Charger Store in St Albans town centre in 2021. We have the Andersen A2 on display for customers to view before buying and it gets lots of interest! We offer a supply and install service and pride ourselves in our customers service.
We asked Liam;
"When you were considering which charge point you wanted for your home, what were your criteria & how did the Andersen A2 fit?"
When considering the right charge point for my property, I knew I wanted a tethered charger. The Andersen A2 provides a tethered cable which neatly stores away when not in use. I also wanted to ensure the charger that I chose fitted discretely on the wall it's mounted upon.

We have been installing Andersen since 2020 and it is one of our best sellers. Our favourite features are the hidden tethered cable which gives the customer the benefits of having both an untethered and tethered charger, very clever! We also love the options of the different colour choices.
We asked Liam;
"We can see that you drive a BMW i4, great car! How long have you been driving electric and can you tell us a bit more about your experience of the switch between combustion and electric?"
I have just collected my brand new BMW i4 and I am completely new to electric cars. It is an experience I am still acclimatising too, but so far so good!
We asked Green Electrical;
"How long have you been working with the Andersen team & what are your favourite features of the Andersen A2?"

Our plans for the future are to carry on growing as a company. Giving our customers an all round package of buying a product in store and having a face to face service along with a great service during installation and then any post installation support our customers need. We plan to carry on supporting the brands of chargers we recommend and making sure our customers find the right charger that is the best match for them. The demand for EV Charger installations is ever growing and we will support this demand.
We asked Liam;
"We know you're a busy man, so lastly, do you plan on utilising off-peak tariffs in conjunction with your Andersen A2?"
At the current moment, we are not using off-peak tariffs. However, this is something we certainly plan on utilising in the near future.
We asked Green Electrical;
"What are Green Electricals plans for the future?"
Our plans for the future are to carry on growing as a company. At the current moment, we are not using off-peak tariffs. However, this is something we certainly plan on utilising in the near future.
