You have a beautiful home, please tell us a bit more about it!
We moved here 2 years ago. The property is a Grade 2 listed building. The main house and the converted barn are 400 years old with a 200 year old construction joining them together. At one point in time it was a functioning farm, therefore has a 3-phase supply.
Out of the many EV charge points on the market, why did you choose the Andersen A2?
Firstly, I knew that the look of the charger itself was important to me and what I wanted on my home. Secondly, the Andersen A2 was the only charge point I was able to get listed building consent for. This naturally was a driving factor for choosing the Andersen A2. I was able to choose a Putty Stone body which compliments the stone wall and a Charcoal front which works really well with the barn's cladding,

What car are you currently driving and why?
I am currently driving an Audi 50 TFSI Quattro A6 as my company car. In preparation for the switch to EV (and of course being better for the environment), the company are changing to fully electric vehicles. With the idea of becoming more environmentally aware, I thought, "what better time to install an EV charger?". I take delivery of a BMW i4 in the coming months and am looking forward to becoming accustomed to driving and using a fully electric vehicle.
How did you find the process of buying the Andersen A2?
I found the process extremely accessible and had no trouble at all when enquiring and ordering. The whole team have been really helpful throughout. In addition, my Andersen electrician was also great and extremely helpful from start to finish.

Have you got any advice or tips for anyone looking to get a charge point fitted on their grade listed propety?
I would highly recommend going with an Andersen charger. I found that due to it's customisability, I was able to get listed building consent, presumably a lot easier than if it was a plastic box installed on my house.
Could you roughly run us through the process of applying for a charge point to be installed onto your grade 2 listed property?
There is quite a lot red tape to go through in all honesty. If you want the charge point directly installed on your property then you will need planning permission as well as listed building consent. However if it was to go on a post on your property, then you will just need listed building consent. You can fill out these forms yourself either physically or online. The whole process took around three and half months from start to finish.
