Parminder has recently taken delivery of his BMW i4 M50 and is blown away by it. So much so that he prefers driving it to his M4.
Here we catch up with him at his family's home to find out more on why he switched from Combustion to Electric.
Amongst a few factors, 'financial peace' and future proofing were the primary reasons for us making the switch. Another factor for making the switch to an electric vehicle was the idea of being more environmentally friendly.
First of all, none of the charge points that we found were aesthetically suitable for us. We saw that the Andersen was very fitting for our home and just looks more refined and high-end than the others. Secondly, we love supporting local businesses. These were the 2 main reasons.

We went with Southbank Grey front and sides as we have plans to paint the garage and front door a similar shade. We try to think ahead and future proof our home, where possible. We didn't want the charge point to look like an afterthought but instead look like it is part of our house.
I find the charger itself very easy to use and have had no issues with it at all. On a day to day basis, the scheduling and app functionality works really well with my smart EV tariff.

I would advise to consider and plan your journeys ahead of time. In the same way you would ensure you have fuel in your combustion vehicle, you have to ensure you have enough range in your EV. My in-laws who live in London, have recently made the switch. They have an EV charger on their home as well and, for us, this is the ultimate convenience when visiting each other.
