Sir Ed Davey visits Andersen/EVIOS production facilities

We were proud to welcome Bedford Mayor Dave Hodgson and leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey, to the EVIOS and Andersen EV headquarters and manufacturing facility in Stewartby, Bedfordshire, as part of Mayor Dave’s re-election campaign and Sir Ed’s nationwide tour.

Sir Ed is passionate about green technology businesses and he commended our mission to support the adoption of clean mobility solutions alongside Bedford Borough Council.

Last August, Mayor Dave formally opened EVIOS’ all-new premises, which have now become the joint HQ and manufacturing facility for both EVIOS and Andersen EV. The decision to produce both the Andersen A2 and EVIOS One units in Bedfordshire supports a strategic objective to minimise the financial and environmental cost of manufacture and delivery for each unit.

When we launched EVIOS last April, we set out a mission to appoint up to 40 people in the local area over the next 12 months for a wide variety of roles, including app developers, production managers, electrical engineering, installations, sales, and customer support. We can proudly say we have met this target and we are delighted to be recognised for our contribution to the local community.
