In his search for a charge point that could integrate seamlessly with his home in a Conservation Area, Gary turned to Andersen.
Read on for the full story.
We live in a Conservation Area where we’re required to preserve the upkeep and aesthetic of the properties as they are, particularly the road-facing aspects. It’s a quirky house as it started out as 3 small houses that have been joined together in various ways by previous owners. It has two electricity meters, solar panels and oil heating – a work in progress to sort it out!
Because it wasn’t straightforward with having more than one meter box and due to the need for something that fitted in visually with the house. A trailing wire would have been a total non-starter so the hidden cable really does the job.

Nothing that Andersen didn’t sort out; the cable run was quite long but they really kindly dug a small run under the gravel and laid the cable out of sight so the only power cabling I have on show is a short run up from the ground
They suggested the idea of the cable going under the ground and the AR tool on the ordering page was very useful to send to the council for their approval.

Not to worry about whether you can have a charge point. There is a Permitted Development clause in the Planning regulations that allows for charge points to be fitted.
