Case Study

Sorong Teak for Amina's Tesla

Amina purchased her Tesla Model 3 in spring of 2022. Recognising that switching to electric could save her a significant amount in running costs, Amina wanted to find a charge point that looked nice on her new build property.

We caught up with Amina and asked her a little bit more about her experience.

"So Amina, what made you switch to an EV?"

The reason I made the switch was due to fuel prices hiking up.

It made sense when I first placed the order for the car in January 2022, that this will save me on costs in the long run, even if it is a slightly higher cost upfront.

My Tesla is a slightly unusual design, as I wanted to be different to other Teslas. It’s been vinyl wrapped in Matt Black / Blue, so looks quite unique!

"What made you choose an Andersen A2 charge point?"

Originally, I was going to have my energy provider supply me with an EV point. I waited 4 months, and I could only view small pictures from their website. I tried researching YouTube videos but couldn’t see much and when they turned up, they presented me with an enormous white EV box, which I knew wasn't going to look great on my house.
I decided to reject their offer and do some additional research, and that's when I came across Andersen.

"What colour option did you choose for your Andersen A2, and why?"

I had chosen the Sorong Teak front panel and Laurac Sand body panel to try and match the brick work on my home.

"What features about the Andersen do you find particularly useful?"

After installation, I was and still am, very pleased with my Andersen. It’s very quick and easy to unwind and plug in. I love the brushes on the side as it can become wet, and cold and the brushes on the side help keep the cable clean and tidy.

"What would recommend to anyone making the switch to EV?"

My recommendation to any customer deciding whether or not to invest, would be to think long term. There are no cables exposed, it’s neat and tidy and looks beautiful on the side of my home. There are a variety of colours to choose from and I selected mine on the similar colour scheme to the house.

Thank you, Andersen, for creating a wonderful EV Charger.
