OZEV: Office of Zero Emission Vehicles

The current OZEV EVHS grant (for homeowners (including people with mortgages) who live in single-unit properties such as bungalows and detached, semi-detached, or terraced housing) ends 31st March 2022 and can’t be claimed for installs completed after that date.

Due to current demand, we may not be able to complete your installation before this date.

Once we have your order and reviewed it, we will let you know if we can install it before the 31st of March. In the event we can’t complete your install by 31st March, you’ll be entitled to either a full refund or to pay an additional £350 (to cover the amount from the grant) and continue with your installation.

Please note: These changes don’t affect the Workplace Charging Scheme Grant (WCS) and Scottish Energy Saving Trust grant (EST). Scottish Residents are eligible to receive a grant provided by Energy Saving Trust.

What is OZEV?

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) (previously known as Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV))  is connected to both the UK Department of Transport and the UK Department of Trade, Energy, and Industrial Strategy. It exists to promote the adoption of low emission vehicles.

You can find out more about OZEV on the UK Government’s website.

What is the OZEV grant?

It is to encourage car buyers to opt for an electric vehicle, OZEV offers a cash payment to help with start-up costs. If you own or rent an electric vehicle, you could receive up to £350 towards the cost of buying and installing a charge point.

How do I know if I am eligible?

The manufacturer, as well as the installer of your charge point, needs to be authorised by OZEV for a successful application. Both Andersen and its installation team are OZEV certified.

To qualify for the OZEV grant you need to meet the following criteria:

  • You have off-street parking.
  • Your property is within the UK.
  • Your vehicle is eligible for the grant.
  • You can provide evidence that you own or lease an electric vehicle (even if you haven’t received the vehicle).
  • You have not already claimed the grant for your vehicle.
