What is Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is where a large number of people pool their money together to back a business they believe in, via an online platform. More information on crowdfunding can be found here. We are equity crowdfunding, which means that each investor will receive a share in our business, which carries the potential to make a profit when the business is sold, as well as to receive exclusive rewards.

Why is Andersen crowdfunding?

We’re crowdfunding to help fund the next stage in our growth. We’ll grow by scaling our production and drive greater efficiencies throughout our supply chain. We aim to reach profitability in 2020 and invest in broadening our product offering.

How can I invest?

We’re partnering with Crowdcube, a crowdfunding platform, for our crowdfunding campaign. All funding is done through the Crowdcube website.

Who can invest?

Anyone who is over 18 years old and legally entitled to invest, except people resident in the US, Canada or Japan. Customers who would like to participate in the crowdfunding will need to sign up on the Crowdcube website.

When is the campaign running?

We will launch our campaign to the Crowcube investor base on Monday 4th November.

Will Andersen customers have exclusive access to the investment?

Yes, Andersen customers, existing investors and those that register their interest in advance will have early access to invest before other members of the public.

Who else has invested in Andersen EV?

Our current investors include the Crowdcube community of previous investors, friends, family and customers.

How can I make money out of this investment?

Shareholders could potentially receive a return on their investment if the business is eventually sold. Either at IPO (Initial Public Offering on a a stock exchange), a trade sale (sale to another company), or a share buyback. As the business becomes profitable, there is also the potential for shareholders to receive dividends

How much can I invest?

As little as £10, and there is no maximum. If you wish to invest more than £25k, get in touch with us at

What about rewards?

All investors become a shareholder in Andersen. You can see all our rewards on the Crowdcube pitch.

What about Brexit?

Our units are built using the highest quality components available and some of these are sourced in Germany. Currency fluctuation of the GBP vs EUR is probably the biggest risk from Brexit, but we have been successfully dealing with this since the Brexit referendum in 2016. We also face the risk of import tariffs on components sourced in Europe and import delays, but we are working hard to secure alternative sources of supply to cover this eventuality.

What is EIS, and will this investment be considered for EIS?

EIS is a form of tax relief you can potentially receive when investing in qualifying new businesses. You can claim up to 30% income tax relief on investments on a maximum of £1 million per tax year. For more detail, see here.

Andersen has received EIS advance assurance for this round.
